Evening sail around Statute of Liberty and Governor's Island

The Pioneer is an 125 yo. schooner - my co-worker Lore's husband is the Captain on Weds and Thurs so she took me as a guest. A beautiful trip.

Finley and Mom take on the NYC subway

These 2 make quite a duo. One of my favorite moments was when Mom was coming up the staircase at #5 and Finley called down "oh hello, who's down there?", just like Mom does. Photo by Chris (camera: cell phone).

Finley does Boston and NYC

Finley was in town for the month of June - jam packed weekends of birthdays, memorial services, cookouts on the roofdeck, picnics in Prospect Park, boat trips around the Statute of Liberty. It was exhausting! One of my favorite pics, taken by Chris (camera: cell phone)

I think this is hysterical

Mom sent me this article, The Spam Victim Strikes Back, from the Boston Globe a while back, and reported "This is so funny, Chris laughed out loud."

Feeling Very Current

I saw Avatar in 3-D and Crazy Heart. A little obsessed with the Crazy Heart soundtrack, especially these two songs:

Kicked off 2010 with a vacation

Fantastic long weekend in LA to visit Leah. Life is sweet there. Farmers Market for breakfast, a walk around The Grove, museums (Highly recommend the gift shop at the Craft and Folk Art Museum), Venice Beach, fancy cocktails and naps.

We had dinner with Bob & Heidi - so much fun. More great meals at Pizzeria Mozza and Bar Brix.

Here's a nice picture of me and Bob - we've been friends for 20+ years!

I didn't realize my seat home was in business class - HEAVEN. And Woody Harrelson was on my flight. In business class, just like me.

Here are my treats from the trip - gifts from Leah, from her fantastic neighbor Pam (no kidding, she gave me the ring) and the museum gift shop. Nice little collection, don't you think?

The Don't F with Jen embroidery is compliments of my mother, of course. I just put that in the shot to amuse my handful of readers.
