...new job & moved to Brooklyn

I took this picture of the Manhattan Bridge and the Empire State Building (waayy in the back, it was red white & blue for Veteran's Day) from the Brooklyn Bridge. It's a 45 minute walk between work and my apartment.

...I met Will and Grace for the first time...

They are excellent babies, good natured and fun to be with. No they are not named after the TV show. Family names.

Mets fan?

I do live in Queens, on the 7, and they seem excited about Pedro. Is it ok to wear Red Sox paraphernalia to a Mets game?

My parents crack me up

This is my mother trying to convince Chris that she picked out an iridescent purple coat for him for Xmas. It was really for her, but she wrapped it up and gave it to him as a joke.

Beach in Queens

I was at the beach and yet still in New York City; Far Rockaway, Queens. My co-worker's family had a summer bungalow on the beach. So glad they tore down bungalows for high rises.

Friends

Way back in September, my first night in Queens.

Just finished: The Coffee Trader by David Liss. Very good.
Listening to: Nothing Compares 2 U (Live) by Prince. So good.

Rosie in her first snowstorm

When I registered my car (Rosalita) in NY, I wrote her color as fuschia. Then RMV woman told me to pick a "normal" color. I thought fuschia was a normal color. So then I wrote pink. My new mechanic says she is purple but I don't think he put a whole lot of thought into it.

Book report: Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner
Recently checked out of library:
3 books on Crock Pot Cooking
How to Simplify Your Life. A little self help/new age-y of me, but I like reorganizing and there are lots of good ideas.
